TAP Health Summer Academy

Over the summer, three Taylor High School students had the incredible opportunity to participate in The Health Collaborative’s TAP Health Summer Academy—a prestigious program designed to immerse students in real-world healthcare experiences.

Senior Brooke Koelling, junior Lily Krimmer, and junior Laura McCormack were selected to take part in the program after a competitive application process.

The TAP Health Summer Academy offers a variety of career exploration tracks—TAP M.D., TAP R.N., and TAP H.C.—each designed to guide students through the pathways of becoming a physician, registered nurse, or pursuing one of the many other vital roles within the healthcare field.

Through hands-on experiences, participants gained valuable insight into the medical profession. Students observed surgeries, visited the University of Cincinnati Cadaver Lab, earned First Aid and CPR certifications, and connected directly with healthcare providers for college and career guidance.

The students shared that the experience not only deepened their understanding of healthcare careers but also strengthened their passion for helping others.

With their enthusiasm and commitment to the medical field, Brooke, Lily, and Laura are sure to make a positive impact in the years ahead.
