Roy Rogers in Cleves, Ohio Donates $10,000 to Nicholas R Cordrey Foundation
Cleves, Ohio – Roy Rogers is proud to announce that it is donating $10,000 to the Nicholas R Cordrey Foundation. This contribution will help support the Three Rivers School Board's initiative to name the grass soccer field on the Taylor High School campus after the late Nicholas Cordrey. Nick, who passed away at the age of 15 from an unknown brain aneurysm in 2020, was a passionate soccer player and a freshman at Taylor High School at the time of his passing.
Brynn Stokes and Drew Kantz, Taylor High School seniors, worked tirelessly in their Passion Project class to raise funds for the naming of the soccer field after their late classmate. Through several fundraising events, a GoFund Me page, and generous donations from local businesses, the necessary $25,000 was raised. Roy Rogers pledged to donate $5,000, plus match any other donation dollar for dollar until the $25,000 was met. The $15,000 raised by the students, combined with Roy Rogers' donation, secured the necessary funds for the field naming rights.
