Common Planning/Start Time Proposal

Posted on: April 3, 2018

Three Rivers Local School District will be hosting 3 opportunities for parents to learn
about the proposal to implement common planning time during the 2018-2019 school
year. This will allow teachers to better serve the students of Three Rivers.
Implementation would require a change to our schools' start/end times. We invite
parents to hear about the benefits that this would bring to our students.

Common planning is a structured block of time for educators to collaborate around
individual student needs in order to support learning and achievement. This
presentation will include the research that supports the need for common planning
time, the proposed 2018-2019 schedule, and time for questions and answers. These
information sessions will be led by building principals, district administrators, and
teachers.

The proposal is for grades PK-12, so we encourage parents to attend if they have a
student in the District.
