Mrs. Kiri Kiefer, a dedicated and creative 3rd-grade teacher at Three Rivers Elementary, has a heartwarming holiday tradition: she knits hats for each of her students! What started last year as a way to honor her late grandmother, who left her a collection of yarn, has become a cherished annual project.

"It took me about four months to make hats for both of my classes," Ms. Kiefer shares. "The kids loved them so much, I decided to make it a tradition until I retire!" Each student gets to choose from a colorful variety of styles, complete with or without pom-poms. The joy on their faces makes all the effort worthwhile.

Ms. Kiefer’s passion for teaching goes beyond her creative projects. "I love seeing kids excited to come to school and to learn," she says. "I aim to make our class fun, enjoyable, and relevant to the unique personalities of each student."

With her thoughtful traditions and dedication to her students, Ms. Kiefer makes her classroom a warm and welcoming place to learn.
