Library Project Community Engagement
Given that the Three Rivers School District property remains under consideration as one of the potential locations for the new library, we want to ensure that all members of the Three Rivers Community are informed about an upcoming community engagement opportunity. The library will be hosting a meeting at the current Miami Township Library location (8 N Miami Ave.) on May 7th from 6:00-7:30 pm. Below, you'll find details provided by the library regarding the project. Your input is important, as it will help the Hamilton County Library make an important decision that will impact our community.
Week of April 15, 2024: The Library continues to explore options for a new branch in Miami Township. With a focus on accessibility, stewardship and ongoing operations feasibility, we are working to make the most informed decision we can in a timely fashion, knowing that providing Miami Township and the surrounding neighborhoods a modern, updated public library facility is a top priority. We are in the process of putting property on Miami Ave, less than a five-minute walk from the current location, under contract. This does not necessarily signal a final direction rather allows us to begin our due diligence process and evaluate the feasibility of that site. We have not ruled out property on Three Rivers School District property as a potential spot for the new Library Branch. We deeply appreciate the community working with us to make a new public library a reality. We intend to complete our evaluation by August 2024.
If you are unable to attend the community engagement opportunity, stakeholders can provide feedback on the library’s Next Generation Library Project page (scroll to the bottom) or feel free to reach out to Superintendent, Dr. Mark Ault (mault@trlsd.org).
