Taylor Middle School Student Earns Place in Regional Math Competition
Taylor Middle School sixth-grade student, Brandon Gardner, recently earned his place in the MathCounts regional competition! After scoring an impressive 28, which put him in 52nd place, Brandon received the exciting news that he would advance on to regionals! This is a huge achievement as a sixth-grader, as Brandon was competing against students in grades sixth through eighth!
On February 25th, Brandon will take a ninety-minute online assessment as the next step in the competition.
Taylor Middle School has twenty-three students this year meeting virtually. Advisors are Katie Sullivan, Daryl Rider, and Jo Henderson. They have been organizing this club for the past since 2015. The club has been awarded the silver and gold level award for five years in a row. The silver award is based on attendance at club meetings; the gold award is a project completed by the students.
