In a heartwarming display of community spirit and generosity, the Three Rivers community has rallied together to honor the memory of beloved custodian, Fred Cross. Through the dedicated fundraising efforts of Lori Reis, Cindy Oser, and other friends and family, the necessary funds have been raised to officially name the custodial hallway after Fred Cross.

Fred Cross was more than just a custodian; he was a cherished member of the Three Rivers community whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. Recognizing his profound impact, the community has ensured that his legacy will endure for generations to come with the naming of the hallway.

"The Three Rivers community shows up every time there is an opportunity to help out," remarked Cindy Oser. "Fred meant the world to so many of us, and it's fantastic that this hallway naming will stand the test of time for all to remember his legacy each time they visit the campus."

“It was truly touching to see so many previous students, who are now adults, and community members who chose to spend their Saturday evening honoring Fred. It showed all of us the impact and reach of Fred’s humor and kindness through the years,” said Lori Reis.

Not only did the community exceed the naming rights cost for the hallway, but they also demonstrated their ongoing commitment to supporting their school community. With funds remaining after the naming, a decision was made to donate the surplus to Jacket Cares. This initiative works to ensure that the needs of the school community are met, removing barriers that could hinder the success of both staff and students.

This remarkable display of unity and generosity is a testament to the strength and compassion of the Three Rivers community. Through their actions, they have honored Fred Cross in a truly meaningful way while also continuing to support the well-being and success of their school community.
