Congratulations to all FOUR of our GLOBALS QUALIFYING teams at the state tournament!!  This is the BEST year that we've ever had at the state tournament!  FOUR teams qualifying with two first-place finishes (and a Renaissance award) and two third-place finishes.  We even had two teams qualify in the same event!!  Unbelievable results!!  All of our teams performed extremely well and also did great in the IC's.

The Heads and Tales 6th-grade team competed in the improvisational challenge.  The team came in first place and earned an invitation to Global Finals.  This team had a tale, two figureheads, a flip to add to their story right on the spot.  They also had to change from verbal to nonverbal.  Team members include:  Wiley Glasgow, Brian Seibert, Gab Fenton, Morgan Koelling, Chris Cowans, and Olivia Doss

The Cereal Solvers, a 5th-grade team, competed in the engineering challenge.  This team came in first place and also received an invitation to Global Finals!  They also won a special Renaissance award for their technical aspects of their challenge.  This team built a water fountain, which was triggered by a motion sensor and a computer program.  This team had to perform a skit and build a structure designed to hold weight.  Team members include:  Jack Hawkins, Brayden Gratz, Jossie Enderle, Rachel Hutson, Brooke Koelling, Nick Ream, and Chase Ausdenmoore

The 4th-grade team, Bad Eggs, competed in the Science Challenge.  They created a skit about an imaginary disease called the Red Egg Disease.  This team included a technical "egg-ray" machine that used a computer program and a GoPro camera.  The team finished in third place in their division and earned an invitation to Global Finals. Team members include David Barthelmeh, Jason McCollum, Brandon Gardner, Kalli Woodrum, Abbi Penn, Carter Giesting, and Vincent Soloria.

The 3rd-grade team, The Boneys, competed in the engineering challenge.  This team came in third place and also received an invitation to global finals!   This team had to perform a skit and build a structure designed to hold weight.  Team members include:  Mason Stautberg, Alec Boreing, Connor Koelling, Jenna Nieman, and Leo Smith

Technically Alienated 6th-grade team competed in a tough technical challenge against several 7th and 8th-grade teams.  They finished in fifth place, just missing an invitation to Global Finals.  The team did a great performance with their aircraft drone, their story, and their instant challenge.  Team members include:  John Forbes, Mason Smith, Caleb Topper, Ryan Lattarulo, Wes Johnson, and Adam Hiser
