Staffing Updates
I hope everyone is taking time to enjoy the start of summer break. We wanted to share some exciting news from tonight's Board of Education meeting. Megan Rivet was approved to be the new Student Services Director of Three Rivers. There were 21 people interviewed for this position and her skills were far superior. She will work to oversee special education and instructional technology and will be taking on the role of District Testing Coordinator; this allows her to work to improve the achievement of students in all grades in our three schools. Mrs. Rivet is excited about this opportunity afforded to her and her family and looks forward to continuing to support the staff and students of Three Rivers.
We are also excited to welcome Alex Richmond as the new District nurse. Alex is coming to us from Children's Hospital and is excited to work with children of all ages. Mr. Richmond was an Oak Hills grad and went on to receive his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology from Ohio University. Alex worked at Beacon Orthopedics before receiving his MSN degree from Mt. St. Joseph University. While working at Children's Hospital, he was a float nurse and therefore has an extensive list of experiences.
When asked about some personal highlights, Alex mentioned that he is a proud father to his Golden Retriever, Marley, and enjoys the outdoors. Alex spends most time away from work with his family hiking, fishing, golfing, and camping. He is a huge Bengals and Reds fan. He also still enjoys playing basketball; one of his favorite college memories was playing for Ohio University's club team.
This is an exciting time of the year for our school district and we look forward to all of the new Yellowjackets joining our team.
