McKinney-Vento/Foster

McKinney-Vento

The McKinney-Vento Liaison supports students and families experiencing homelessness by helping remove barriers to school enrollment, attendance, and success. This role ensures eligible students receive their rights and services under the McKinney-Vento Act, including school stability, transportation support, and access to educational resources. The liaison works closely with families, school staff, and community partners to promote consistency, stability, and academic success for students in transition.

Foster

Educational stability is critical to the success of students in foster care, and our district is committed to providing safe, supportive, and connected learning environments for every child. In alignment with guidance from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and the Ohio Department of Children and Youth, we continue to strengthen our practices and ensure proper support systems are in place for foster youth. Our district’s Foster Care Liaison is Matthew Lakamp, who works to advocate for and support students in foster care and their families.
