Three Rivers Local School District Names Tim Sies as Next Superintendent
Cleves, OH – The Three Rivers Local School District Board of Education is pleased to announce that Tim Sies has been officially approved as the district’s next Superintendent. Following an extensive and thorough search led by Butler County ESC Superintendent Chris Brown, the Board selected Mr. Sies from a highly competitive pool of candidates. His leadership, experience, and passion for education made him the ideal choice to lead Three Rivers into the future. Mr. Sies will officially assume his role as Superintendent on August 1, 2025.
Mr. Sies (pronounced “size”) brings 24 years of experience in education, including 12 years in the classroom, 13 years as an athletic coach, and 12 years in administration. His previous leadership roles have included serving as a Middle School Principal, Assistant Principal, Secondary Campus Director, and Manager of the Positive School Culture and Safety Department. He also served as the Assistant Superintendent of Washington Court House City Schools, where he was instrumental in fostering a positive school culture and student-centered decision-making. Most recently, Mr. Sies served as Clermont Northeastern’s Superintendent since 2023.

Mr. Sies holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Wright State University and a Master of Music in Music Education from The Ohio State University. Furthering his commitment to educational leadership, he earned a second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University-Portland, obtained his Superintendent licensure from Miami University, and has completed all doctoral coursework toward a Doctorate in Educational Leadership through Concordia University-Chicago, with plans to pursue his dissertation in the future.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sies has remained focused on positively impacting students, staff, and the community. His philosophy is rooted in continuous growth and excellence.
Beyond his professional life, Mr. Sies cherishes time with his blended family of eight, including his wife, Courtney, their six children, and their family dog. He enjoys staying active, reading, and dedicating himself to personal and professional growth.

Tim's experience, perspective, and ideas combined with our dedicated administration, talented teachers, and hard-working staff are the team our district needs to lead, grow, and prepare our students for successful futures.”
