Taylor Athletics Announces Partnership with Mercy Health- West Hospital and Mercy Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine

Cincinnati, OH – June 2025 – Taylor Athletics is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Mercy Health – West Hospital and Mercy Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, designed to provide enhanced healthcare support and educational opportunities for student-athletes. The partnership will officially begin on July 1, 2025.

As part of this partnership, two full-time athletic trainers will be dedicated to Taylor Athletics, providing comprehensive coverage for all middle school and high school athletic events. These professionals will play a vital role in injury prevention, treatment, and recovery for student-athletes across the district.

In addition to on-site care, the partnership introduces career-oriented educational programming, offering students interested in healthcare careers the opportunity to gain real-world experience. 

Taylor Athletics will also benefit from direct access to two of the region’s top sports medicine physicians:

  • Dr. Matt Busam- Orthopaedic Surgeon based at the Mercy Health Bridgetown office. Dr. Busam serves as the Chief Medical Officer for FC Cincinnati and the team physician for Elder High School.

  • Dr. John Zisko, Orthopedic Sports Medicine Specialist, also based at the Mercy Health Bridgetown office. Dr. Zisko serves as the team physician for Harrison High School and Mercy McAuley High School.
