Taylor Athletics Announces Partnership with Mercy Health- West Hospital and Mercy Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine
Cincinnati, OH – June 2025 – Taylor Athletics is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Mercy Health – West Hospital and Mercy Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, designed to provide enhanced healthcare support and educational opportunities for student-athletes. The partnership will officially begin on July 1, 2025.
As part of this partnership, two full-time athletic trainers will be dedicated to Taylor Athletics, providing comprehensive coverage for all middle school and high school athletic events. These professionals will play a vital role in injury prevention, treatment, and recovery for student-athletes across the district.
In addition to on-site care, the partnership introduces career-oriented educational programming, offering students interested in healthcare careers the opportunity to gain real-world experience.
Taylor Athletics will also benefit from direct access to two of the region’s top sports medicine physicians:

Dr. Matt Busam- Orthopaedic Surgeon based at the Mercy Health Bridgetown office. Dr. Busam serves as the Chief Medical Officer for FC Cincinnati and the team physician for Elder High School.

Dr. John Zisko, Orthopedic Sports Medicine Specialist, also based at the Mercy Health Bridgetown office. Dr. Zisko serves as the team physician for Harrison High School and Mercy McAuley High School.
