Southwest Ohio Business Advisory Councils Honored
The Hamilton County/Clermont County Educational Service Center Business Advisory Council (BAC) held its fourth quarter meeting on May 10 at the Hamilton County Educational Service Center. At the meeting, area school districts were honored for their collaboration with industry partners.
Michelle Washington, who oversees Business Advisory Councils for the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, presented the state’s annual Business-Education Leader Awards for Excellent Business Advisory Councils. The state recognizes two-, three-, and four-star rated Business Advisory Councils throughout Ohio for their exceptional work in building strong partnerships to instill professional skills for future careers and coordinating student experiences.
Rita Graf, Southwest Ohio Tech Prep Administrator, also presented certificates of recognition to celebrate all of the region’s Business Advisory Council participants. Thirty-three school districts and more than 40 industry partners in Hamilton and Clermont County, including Lakota Schools, participate in the Hamilton County/Clermont County Educational Service Center BAC.
Hamilton County ESC established its Workforce Innovation Network (WIN) in 2023 to promote work-based learning in Southwest Ohio. WIN supports the Hamilton County/Clermont County Educational Service Center Business Advisory Council and other initiatives to promote workforce development.
