Donuts with Dudes
On November 17th and 18th, 2nd graders welcomed special "dudes" in their life to join them for a mini-concert and quality time at Donuts with Dudes. Three Rivers Elementary Principal, Adam Biedenbach, said that "not every student has a dad present in their lives. We wanted to offer an opportunity for our second graders to have a special time set aside at school to nurture a positive relationship our students have with a man in their life." Students chose high school brothers, uncles, dads, grandpas, and family friends to join them for this unique experience.
The cowboy theme was embraced by everyone and students were eager to "giddy up" and hit the stage to sing country songs to their dudes. Elementary music teacher, Miss Young did a fantastic job preparing for the fun event. The PTO volunteers provided donuts, juice, chocolate milk, and coffee to make the morning even more enjoyable.
The students' faces lit up when they saw their "dude" in the audience. The family-like environment is what we strive to cultivate at Three Rivers.
