A Parent's Words to Mr. Tom!
At Three Rivers, we strive to create an environment where students are safe and feel supported. Every employee is expected to value our Strategic Plan that focuses on the acronym STEP UP: Successful Students, Talented Staff, Efficient Operations, and Positive School Culture.
To be successful in all four pillars, it is essential for every single employee to represent the District with the same goals. Tom Getz, or Mr. Tom as the students call him, is a great example of this. On October 20th, a Three Rivers Elementary parent took time to reach out to the Transportation Department to express her gratitude for him. The parent stated, "I just wanted to give a shout-out to Mr. Tom on bus #9. I have 2 daughters on that bus, a second grader and a kindergartener. They absolutely love him and I have nothing but great things to say about him. I never got to ride a bus to school as a kid, which makes me beyond grateful that my kids have him as a bus driver! He is kind, caring, does exactly what he is supposed to do pertaining to his job, and is very communicative. I think it's important to give credit where credit is due. Mr. Tom deserves that credit!"
We are grateful for staff who work together to make Three Rivers an incredible place. Whether it be on the bus, in the classroom, at the cafeteria, or in the halls, every staff member has an opportunity to help make students have the best day possible, and Mr. Tom takes advantage of that opportunity every single day!
